After great success in the smartphones business the south Korean company is now moving toward mobile gaming. To show its presence in mobile gaming samsung Announced the Smart phone GamePad and a dedicated app called Mobile Console for smartphones and tablets running Android 4.1, with Bluetooth and NFC connectivity.

Earlier Logitech launched the first Apple authorized iPhone gaming controller called the PowerShell, which is available on the Apple Store for $99.95
Samsung says that the Smartphone GamePad has been optimized to work best with Samsung's own Galaxy series and can be best experienced with devices such as the Note 2, Note 3, Galaxy S III and the Galaxy S4.

Samsung's Smartphone GamePad will initially only be available in European countries, but the company hasn't yet specified the regions or the pricing. The company does mention it will be rolling it out to other markets soon.

The GamePad features a D-Pad, two analog sticks, four action buttons, two trigger buttons and select, start and PLAY buttons, all fit into a 137.78 x 86.47 x 31.80mm package. The GamePad is compatible with Galaxy smartphones running on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and above and with display sizes ranging from 4-inches to 6.3-inches. It connects with the compatible devices using Bluetooth 3.0 or NFC. Users can also utilize an HDMI cable connection to mirror the display on larger screen TVs, or use the AllShare app support for wireless display mirroring, requiring Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and above.

Samsung has also released a dedicated app that accompanies the GamePad called Mobile Console. It can be downloaded from Samsung’s App Store and offers around 35 games for buying across various genres including Need for Speed Most Wanted, Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour, Virtua Tennis Challenge and Prince of Persia: The Shadow and the Flame among others. Samsung has also promised that more games are on the way
