You'd think a person would have to work pretty hard to make more than $3 million a year. But maybe not. The people on this chart are making more money in one year than most of us will see in a lifetime and they're not even alive to enjoy it! This year again Forbes magazine compiled data on the top-earning dead celebrities which is converted into a chart by Statista.
Michael Jackson earned an incredible $160 million over the past year, most of which came from two Cirque du Soleil shows. Elvis Presley comes second with an estimated $55 million. Graceland, his eternal home, is still contributing steadily to his posthumous earnings.
Peanuts creator Charles Schulz rounds off the top three with $37 million. Elizabeth Taylor and Bob Marley come fourth and fifth with $25 million and $18 million respectively.
